Happy New Year to everyone!!!

I just want to say Happy New Year!!! Thank you everyone for your nice comments, prayers and just being there for us! God Bless you all!!!

We are very busy this days. I had 2 appointments already for my pregnancy, and yesterday we found our that we are having a GIRL!!! We are so happy! Also I had a regular appointment with my doctor, and he said that everything is ok with a baby. I was worry a lot, we had a lot of stress and some things during our adoption that I was worried that it will harm a baby, but everything looks good.

Daniel James is doing good home. He is such a loving little guy. We are not use to someone giving us kisses all the time, and saying thank you for every little thing. He kisses my belly and saying that he is already love his sister. So cute and sweet, make me cry. Always smiling and helping me with little Daniel. The sweetest thing to watch him and Daniel Dave playing together and dancing! Will post video later.... promise!

Little Daniel still has diarrhea, I have no idea what is going on, it started in Ukraine, a week before we were going home. Mabey he is teething, or something else is going on. If he continius the same way, we will go to see a doctor after New Year.

Sergey is happy and busy. His family is back home, but he got much more things to do now. My poor husband I feel so sorry for him.

I am just happy to be home!

We are home!

Finally we are home. It was a little difficult to travel, especially a 9 hour flight with two kids, and being 6 month pregnant was hard.
Boys are doing good. Today, December 27 was our Christmas day :) We opened all the presents, and had a lot of fun as a family. Our new son is doing great. We love having him in our family. So far so good, we didn't have any attitude problems or anything like that. I know, I owed you pictures and I will try to do it as soon as we settle a little bit more.

Thank for your prayers!

We are in Kiev......

Finally after 3 crazy days we are all ready to go to USA.
Monday: Was a lot of running around finishing things in Amvrosievka, getting our paperwork from court, and leaving to Konstantinovka in the evening to be able to get Daniel J new birth certificate on Tuesday morning in Kramatorsk(only 30 minutes from Konstantinovka). If we would drive from Amvrosievka in the morning we would have to leave around 5 am to be able to get to Kramatorsk by 8:00-8:30 am. My sister stayed with Daniel D in Amvrosievka.

Tuesday: Me and Lev(we stayed at his parents house which was nice) woke up at 7am and were ready to go by 7:30 am. We got taxi and were in Kramatorsk office around 8:30am.
First we been told that there is no way we can get Daniels J passport with out Sergey being there. Its was so stressfull... but God is with us and finally lady said that she can do it. First she even gave us all the paperwork back, and we thought that we are not going to make it to our train to Kiev that evening.

After we got birth certificate we had to drive to Donetsk to get Daniels J passport. We decided to get passport first, before we get our son from orphanage because it was on our way. We got to Donetsk around 12:00 pm, but after an hour being in Donetsk and doing legalization and notary, and waiting for our son's passport we new that there was no way we can make it to our train that night if we wait any longer for his passport. So at 1:30pm me and our taxi left Donetsk to drive to Amvrosievk and Lev stayed in Donetsk to finish and get Daniels J Passport. It was 2 hour drive back to Amvrosievka and we had only 10-20 minutes to get Daniel J from orphanage, and my cousin and Daniel from our apartment. Thankfully orphanage staff was very nice and supportive, and everything was ready for me , and I just took Daniel J and left. We didn't have any time to change Daniels clothes, we changed him in the train.
After that we stopped at our appartment to get my cousin and Daniel D, everything was packed and ready to go. At 4:00pm we left Amvrosievka, and it was 2 hour drive to Donetsk, and we had our train at 6:08 pm. We were praying to make it to our train. Like always, when you are in hurry there is something that will be on your way, so on our way was a lot of cars, and big traffic. We got to train station around 6:05 pm, how we got to the train I will try to explain next time...........long story but we made it.

If everything good I will be home with our kids on Saturday 26!

Where to start.............?

Now, when I have only 5 days left and we will go home, finally I have good access to internet, Funny....but I couldn't do nothing about it.

And now, there is so much to tell and share that I don't even know where to start. We are thankful to our God for being with us through this whole process, it's not over yet but we are almost done here in Amvrosievka. Our 10th day was on Friday 18, but on Saturday we were not able to get our paperwork from court even that they were open because..............when we came and almost at the same time another family came from Italy to adopt a 10 year old boy. The day we came and met our son, it was 1st day for them, of their waiting period. On 8th or 9th day of their 10 days waiting period, a little boy's mom showed up, and started demanding to get her son back. She didn't come to see here son for more than 3 years, not even one visit, and now she is buying him stuff(cellphone, cloth, toys, food), and telling this little boy that all this time she was looking for him. It's crazy! This Italian family is still here, and they are waiting for another court to see what will happen. And because of this situation local judge is not very happy to give all the paperwork to us, they want to wait another day, just in case something like this will happen. We are praying that everything will go smooth.

Tomorrow, Monday we should get our paperwork from court and me and our translator/helper Lev will drive to Kramatorsk(our son was born there) to get his birth certificate early Tuesday morning. My cousin(she ca
me to help me after my husband left back home) will stay with little
Daniel at our apartment in Amvrosievka. After that, me and Lev will drive to Donetsk to get a new passport for our son, and then we will come back to Amvrosievka to get our son from orphanage..........finally! With our son, we will stop at our apartment and get our second son, and all the luggage, and drive back to Donetsk to catch our train at 6 PM. Tuesday will be really busy day for us! Please pray for last part of our adoption, that we make it to our train, and that everything goes smooth.

The weather been horrible the last 3-4 days. Big storm, and all roads are blocked. For 2 days we were not able to get our from our apartment, a lot of snow and strong wind. This is one more thing that we are praying about, that all roads will be clear for us to drive to Kramatorsk and Donetsk.

Sorry for not blogging, and huge thank you for all your prayers we feel them!!! God Bless you!!!
I know that this is a lot of

Still Here in Amborsivka

Hello everyone this is Sergey, i have much more opportunity to go to down town in this city for Internet then my wife. Therefore I am writing updates on my wife's request. Well so far good news, we are going to have Court date on December 8 at 10 am, and then 10 days of waiting period will approach, and after that on December 19 we will be able to get our son from orphanage. Can't wait. I ( Sergey ) will go home at December 10 due to work, but Tatyana will have to stay here. Unfortunately it is only choice, but i will prepare everything at home for them to come. The weather here is getting better, but still cold. Today we went to mall to buy some close for Daniel. That was very interesting experience.
Thanks everyone for following and praying for us, sorry for not updating very often.

Back in Kiev!

Today, Sergey's father drove us back to Kiev. We are still staying with Sergey's cousin.
Sergey talked to our facilitator today, and looks like we will try to get our referral tomorrow, and will be leaving by train to Donetsk. We already have our tickets to Donetsk, and our facilitator is sure that we will have our referral tomorrow. We are really hoping for it.

Little update about last week.
We did visit few Sergey's relatives, had a lot of walks in Lutsk, and had a lot of fun. We still can't wait to meet our boy, but we know that there is time for everything. And now, after spending this week with Sergey's father, we think there was a big reason for us to be here, and spend time in Lutsk.

Also we did go to Kivertsy to see my uncle and his family. Kivertsy, small town where I use to live for 9 years before we came to America, and it's only 20 minutes from Lutsk. It was really nice to see my relatives.

We will have internet tomorrow and I promise we will post pictures and blog some more.

Still in Lutsk

Hello, this is Sergey (Tatyana's husband) we are still in Lutsk, and planing to go back to Kiev on Sunday. Everything good. We don't have much access to Internet here but as soon as we will get to Kiev, Tatyana probably will give you a lot of interesting details about our trip. Daniel is little better, Tatyana is still sick and me (Sergey) sick also, but we hope we will get better soon.
On Monday we will get our documents and probably same day on Monday night will travel to Doneck to see our baby. we are exited.
Thanks for everything.
Sergey

in Lutsk....

I wasn't bloggng for a while because we are in Lutsk, visiting Sergey's father and we don't have any internet access. We will be in Lutsk till quarantine is over, until Thursday.
We are good. Daniel is still kind of sick. He is sleeping much better, thanks to Sergey. I will blog as soon as we have internet access. Thank you so much for your prayers.

More about SDA appointment..

Now, when Daniel is sleeping I can blog for a little. I just want to add few more things about our appointment.

Our facilitator is great! Looks like everybody know him, and I think because of him we had this many files of children. They like him there at SDA building a lot. And also I forgot to mention that we been at SDA building for 2 hours. We had plenty of time to go through all the files.

After our appointment us and our facilitator went for lunch to "Puzata Hata". We been there for few hours eating and talking, it was nice time together and getting to know our facilitator and the whole process more.

Daniel is still not in his best shape. Yesterday he woke up at 6:30am and took his nap around 4 pm, for an 1,5. He went to bed at 10:30 pm, but was awake at 2:40 am, and ready to play. He was trying to fall to sleep, but end up crying. So we were awake until around 4 am, and now it's 8:40 am and he is still sleeping. Looks like he wakes up every night around 2-3 am. I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions???
Also Daniel is sick, I have something and looks like Sergey getting too. I am sure it's nothing serious but it's hard to be sick. Please pray for us

Because of quarantine, we can't go and see a child the we are hoping will be our son. We were thinking to stay in Kiev for another week, to wait until quarantine is over. Here, everybody is talking that it can be over earlier, that what we are hoping for. But for now, we probably will go to Lutsk(4 hours drive), to Sergeys home town, and where his father is now. His father wants to come and take us to Lutsk. Also, me and my family before we came to USA use to live 20 minutes from Lutsk, and were going to Lutsk 2-3 times a week. Me and Sergey still have relatives in Lutsk and around areas. It would be nice to see and visit some of them.

Everyone HUGE thank you for all your prayers! We feel them! God Bless you for praying and blessing us on our journey.

Because of our work situation, probably both of us will go back home after court and stay home and work for 2 weeks and than Sergey will go back to bring our child home.

*****I am still working on pictures , and I think I will need Sergey's help :))))))))********

11-10-09 SDA APPOINTMENT!!!

Our appointment was at 9:00am, so we left our apartment around 8:00am. Daniel was staying with O, Sergey's cousin. We had to take metro, and it was packed with people. It was really hard. Too many people, and all those different smells was horrible, and I almost fainted.
Our facilitator was already there, and when we came we went in like in a seconds. It was nice that we didn't have to wait outside, because in the morning was cold.

Our appointment was nice and relaxing. We felt God's hand in whole process, He was there with us. Everyone was really friendly and nice to us. We were showed many files. Some had siblings and some didn't. We really liked one siblings group, but when we called the orphanage, we been told that Ukrainian family already in the process to take those kids. And we know it was not for us. Those were not our kids. There was 4 or 5 other groups of siblings of 2 but we didn't feel like those were our kids. Also we had around 10 files of perfect/healthy or almost healthy kids. Even they say that Ukraine doesn't' have healthy children, there was few that was perfectly healthy and others had small/correctable problems ( enuresis, scoliosis, slight development issues- common in orphanages . Not so many kids around 5-7 years old, many around 8-11 years old. We chose to see one boy.......my heart is pounding and we are so excited to go and see him when we can, at the end of quarantine. I am not going to say a lot about this guy, but we liked him, even he was not the perfect healthy child. We are really hoping that this is it, and this is a child for us from God.

Now I have to go to put Daniel to sleep, and I will try to write more when I can. Thank you a lot for your prayers!!!

The only thing was hard during this appointment, it's to chose a child. There is so many great kids, we would take it all of them if we could.

Day 2nd in Ukraine

Monday was a 2nd day for us in Kiev. O, Sergeys cousen took us to go and see where we will have our appointment on Tuesday, and also we met our facilitator at the same time. We talked to him for few minutes, asked him some questions about our coming appointment and he had to go to finish something. To get to SDA building we had to take metro, 30 minutes and than "Funikuler" to get on top of the hill, where SDA located, "Funikuler" was kind of scary.
Who been here, in Kiev, then you all probably know what I am talking about. We will try to take more pictures and post them here later so everybody has an idea what I am talking about. We have few pictures, and I am still trying to figure out how to post them here.

The weather is cold, but not too bad. We were expecting worst.

Also, on our 2nd day we went to "puzata hata" restaurant. It was a really nice place to eat, and food was great. I am not sure if everyone would like it, because it's all just Ukrainian food.

Daniel having hard time adjusting to current time. This night he woke up at 2 am and was playing till 4 am, and then he slept till 6:30 am. So I think, things are getting better.

Day 1st in Ukraine

Thank you for your nice comments and thank you for praying and thinking about us.
Yesterday , about 2 pm (Ukrainian time) we made it safely to Kiev. We were really, really tired. We almost didn't sleep on our flights, it's almost 48 hours with no sleep. Daniel couldn't sleep ether, its was hard for all of us. Very thankful for Lufthansa baby basinets that they have. DAniel was able to get 3 hours of sleep, basinet was too small for him, his legs were sticking out, but he felt much better.

Now, we are at Sergey's cousin apartment, and in 4 am we are all awake and ready to eat, very hungry. When we came yesterday, we didn't go to sleep until about 8 pm. Even we were really tired and ready to go to a bed, but tried not to. Because if we would go to sleep around 4-5 pm yesterday, we would be awake at 1 or 2 in the morning. Yesterday we went to supermarket, got some stuff for Daniel, exchange money, and got phone card. Today, me and Sergey would probably sleep more, but Daniel was ready to get up, so we are up.

Plans for today: do nothing, get some rest, and try to change Daniel to current time. I will try to give Daniel only 2 naps today, and put him to bed around 10 pm, and hopefully this will work, and he will wake up at least 6-7 in the morning, we can deal with that. :))))))))))))

We will try to meet our facilitator today, if he can, if not today then tomorrow. We are thinking a lot about our appointment, and we are ready to find out who God had prepare for us and why are we here!

When we can i will try to post some pictures.

All packed and ready to go....

Only 10 hours left until we go to airport. We are so excited!!!
This week was really hard emotionally and physically. We were trying to get so many things done at the last minute, and still not everything is ready. But we don't worry about all this stuff, we can get it done when we come back.

We got $300 more toward our adoption from one of our relatives. Not too many people will know what it means to us! We are so thankful to our God and this family. God bless this family!

One more blessing, in Kiev we will be staying with Sergey's cousin. We don't have to look for apartment, and basically we will have place to live for free. Yes, we still have to buy food and give a present for his cousin, but it's still way cheaper then we would rent a place. Praise the Lord!!!

You probably already had heard about swine flu in Ukraine. Schools will be close for 3 weeks, and during this 3 weeks of quarantine anyone who has an appointment at SDA will still have their appointments but will not get any referrals to see a child until end of quarantine. We had a choice to reschedule our appointment for December or go now and see what happens. We are praying and going, we can't reschedule for many reasons, so we will just go and see what happens.

Please pray for us!!! I will try to post when I can! God Bless you!

3 days left until our trip

I can't believe it, first it looked like it's a long time until we go to Ukriane, and for a while there I was thinking that our trip and end of paperwork will never happen. And now we are 3 days away from going to Ukriane to finally finish what we started almost a year ago.

This Saturdaywe had a garage sale, and it went really good. We didnt' have a lot of stuff, but we made $100! One lady, when she found out that we are adopting she did gave $20 dollars bill, and she only got 3 items, for $1 each. It was really nice of her, and
God bless her and her family for her kind heart.

Sunday, pastor called us on stage, and all the pastors were around us, praying for us, and for our adoption. It felt really good!!! We felt Gods presents, and we know He will be with us.
No one in church knew about our plans, except pastor, and maybe few more people, it was a big surprise to everyone.
Also 2 more people in church came to my husband and, one gave $100 , and another family gave $50. Thank you, thank you so much. God bless you! In this process every dollar makes a big change.

Also, yesterday, one of my brothers friends gave $40 for our adoption. God Bless him!
Everyone who is giving money or praying, or just supporting us, you guys don't even know what it means to us, and how grateful we are to our God for you. God Bless you all!!!

Now we are thinking what toys, things to take for 6-10 year old kids. Any ideas? We were thinking to take few, like coloring books and crayons, and maybe something else small. And other toys and things we will buy when we get there and we know our child/ren.

I can't wait to be in Ukraine and finally meet our child/ren. This child/ren were in our hearts for almost a year, and we want them home with us.

Just thankful.........

We have only 5 days left until we leave and we are very and very busy.

I just want to tell thank you to all of you who been so supportive of our adoption. Thank you for your nice comments and prayers. All prayers are working, and we are thankful to our God that He is with us and answering our prayers. Emotionally we are much better, and our faith in God is stronger. We will need your prayers and comments when we go to Ukraine also because they are working! :)))))))

Financially, still in big need, but we want to say thank you to one young men from our church, he donated $200 to our adoption funds, so we can bring our child/ren home. Thank you God for opening his heart! Also my sister helped us financially a lot, she has a really good heart. Praying for God blessing for her, especially now, as she is getting married on December 12 this year.
We don't want to miss her wedding but anything can happen. We are praying and will try our best to come back in 4 weeks for her wedding but it almost impossible :((((((

Sergey is almost done with our new rooms. We still don't have time to finish it all but at least major work is done and when we come back we will finish it in in 1 or 2 weeks.

Monday, October 26, 2009

Only 9 days left...

We are super busy.................wow we are so close to the end, I can't even believe it. We have only 9 days until we leave to Ukraine.
Our suitcases still not packet but I think we bought and have almost everything we need for our trip to Ukraine.
God is great God! I can tell you everything but last 3 days was so emotional, and hard on us. But we are thankful to our God, He put all the pieces together in our life, and now we can't wait to be in Ukraine, and see what He has for us!!!

Please pray about our finances we don't have enough to complete our adoption. We will complete our adoption no matter what, but would really love not to go deep in dept.
We believe that there is people who don't want to adopt or can't but they have finances and open heart to donate for Gods will.

We have our flight!!!

We booked our flight today. Now we are really going....:)))))))) We are leaving in 2 weeks, on November 6, early morning.
So many things needs to be done before we go. Today, I was all day on the phone trying to change/reschedule my appointments.
Appointment for my ultrasound I will miss and they can't not schedule anything before we go, because it's too early. My regular/check up appointment can't not be reschedule, doctor is not available for next 2 weeks. But I guess it's ok, I can wait until we come back.I hope it's not going to be a problem for a doctor, not seeing/watching my pregnancy for more then 3 month.

For two days now, Sergey is talking to his supervisor, and she is trying to help him. Sergey has only 3 weeks vacation, and he will have to take 1 week not paid, which is not good for us and his supervisor. Hopefully his company will let him use his sick leave, or maybe they will have other solution.

Also, I am trying to do some packing and finish to clean our house.
This Saturday we will have our garage sale. We don't' have a lot of stuff for sale, but even making 20-50 dollars helps.

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Official appointment date!!!

Today, we got e-mail from our facilitator, and it's official. Our appointment date is going to be on Tuesday, November 10 at 9:00am.

We tried to get our tickets today, but all offices for Golden Rule travel were closed, it was after 5:00 pm. I found their website, and they have few phone #, is there is a big deal which office to call?

I thought that getting all the paperwork together was a crazy time, but I was wrong, now that we have only 2,5 weeks until we leave to Ukraine everything is getting so crazy..... I worry a lot that we will not have enough time to get everything done.

We still have to buy stuff for us, and finish a lot of things around the house.
Good thing is, that looks like I am not going to work this week until Friday, hopefully I will get some things done.

Also, my brother and my sister lives with us, and we have to move them somehow and somewhere.
but we know that everything will be fine, even if we are not 100%ready for our kids, God is with us!!!

Monday, October 19, 2009

Appointment date!!!

ok, I was not ready for this.......are you ready??? :)))))))

We have our appointment date on November 10th, in 3 weeks!!! Tomorrow our facilitator will get official confirmation regarding the date and time. Wow, i 3 weeks from tomorrow we will have our appointment, in 2, 5 weeks we will have to leave!!!

I am dreaming :)))))))))) I can believe it's actually happening. Soon we will have our child/ren with us, and if everything is good we should make it back home by Christmas!!!!!

Please if anyone can, what kind of games, things to do 6-10 year old like? What kind of stuff it's good to take with us to keep them busy in airplane? What can we play, do on our every day visits , when we will meet them, and come to visit in orphanage??? Anyone can help?

Thank you so much

Answers and updates!!!

I am so sorry for not writing more detailed. Lately we are so busy with preparing and also I am trying to watch my self what I write and what kind of personal information i am sharing. I know there is many good and nice people, but also there is other group of people. So I will now try to explain more and answer questions that I got in the comments for my previous post. If anyone have any question, please ask.

Remember, I was saying that room for our kids probably will not be done on time, I am taking my words back:))))) Last two days, Sergey was working really hard, and there is still a lot of things that nedds to be done but there is big posibility to have it done on time!!! Actually, Sergey is trying to add one little office, and big bedroom to our two bedroom home. A lot of work.....

We should hear from our facilitator tomorrow, or Tuesday if everything is good. I can't wait for news from him, just to be 100 % sure that we are traveling, and start packing for "real".

We have 3 travel agencies in mind to check for price and service, after we have our appointment date. We will definitely try Golden Rule Travel, we heard a lot of good things about them, and looks like a lot of families have used them for their adoption travel, and are really happy about their service.

Thank you for all your answers and suggestions, we decided to not purchase kids tickets now, we buy tickets after we have our kids.

It would be nice if someone who already had travel to Ukraine and have packing list ready can share with us.

I don't know if it just us, or its happened to other people also, as we get closer in our adoption process we get more negative responds, and less people are supportive. And I am taking about family and friends, sad, but true!
Any support now or while we are in Ukraine will be very helpful. God Bless you and you families!!!

Getting things ready and having questions

This week was really busy. Working everyday, and trying to organize things, and prepare for our kids. Still nothing is done, but little by little hopefully we will get ready.

Room is not done, and there is no time to finish it. My husband is working extra hard to make things work, and to finish everything.

Also as we getting closer we have so many questions, some of them we are trying to figure our on our own, but some we just can. If anyone can help us it would be really nice
when we will book our flight should we get our come back flight in 4 weeks or 5?
Did you get a ticket for your child from Ukraine now or later when it's time to go back?

Because we have a toddler with us, and me pregnant, my husband is the only one who will have to deal with our luggage( i feel really sorry for him) so We are not planing to take a lot of stuff, and probably no presents, if we want to say thank you to some one in Ukraine we always can get flowers, and envelope with some money. I know, a lot of you guys been there, is this is a good idea?

Thank you so much for everything

SUBMITTED!!!!

We are officially submitted!!! In a week or so, we should hear from our facilitator when he gets our invitation letter, about our interview date!!! Again, it's just more waiting, but now we are one step closer to our child/ren!!!

Thank you for everyone's prayers!!! God Bless you all!!!
Everyone, who is keeping us in their prayers, just reading our blog and not leaving any comments, and everyone who just care about orphans, Thank you so much!!! Also BIG thank you for everyone who is leaving their comments, they are big support for us!!! With out your support we would never made it where we at now!!!

Is it to early to start packing? Daniel, our 21 month old will go with us, and I really worry how he will do in airplane! Any suggestions on traveling with toddler?

no news yet

I am already awake and ready for news, but still nothing in our inbox .:((((
I couldn't sleep last night, I was thinking a lot and it was really windy outside with a lot of rain. So I am not sure if it was the weather or I just worry too much which is probably the case :))))

I been thinking a lot, and dreaming, and thinking.about today, and our kids, and it will go.
We really want to hear a good news, but what ever is in Gods plan for us we will accept.
So now, I am checking our e-mail every 2-5 minutes, and waiting........almost patiently :)))))

All documents are in Kiev!

Finally today all our documents made safely to Kiev! We are so happy!
But now I am thinking and praying about Tuesday, October 13, our submission date. This date is really important in the whole process, because if everything will go good, and there is no mistakes in our paperwork, we will get out appointment date, which we are really waiting for.

Please if you still can, keep us in your prayers!

Yesterday was 3 years as we are married! Congratulation to us! I am so thankful for my husband, and my family! Those 3 years was an amazing years in our life's!

Everything in the mail!

Friday Sergey came back from work, and we had time to go to local post office to notarize copies of our passports. Today, Sergey, took 1 hour off, from his work, and did go to downtown and got copies of our marriage certificates, and also stopped at Secretary State office to apostle all the documents. On the way home, he also made it to post office to send all the documents to Ukraine.
So, we are done, and now it's just waiting and praying period.
I can't believe it, in two weeks we will know if we are going to Ukraine, and if we are, when?!!!!
It's so hard to wait, but we have this perfect time now, to prepare and pray for our child/ren.

Please keep us and our family in your prayers!

We are praying about our submission date!
About our new child/ren!
Also we need to get ready to go to Ukraine (house/rooms finish, and finances in order)!
Please keep us in your prayers!

Good and Bad!

Good new are that all our documents are in Ukraine, and been checked by our facilitator.
But two of our documents needs to be change. Not a big deal, but we still have to do it, and send it to Ukraine as soon as possible, because our submission date is in less than two weeks.
First, we have to make another copy of our passports, and notarize and Apostle them.
Second, we have to get new copies of our marriage certificates, ones we have they are marked with March date, and they will expired soon. They needs to be valid for next 6 month.

So, it's not something major that needs to be change, but still takes time. Tomorrow is Saturday, and for next two days we will not be able to get nothing done with our paperwork. I will try to get copies of our marriage certificates today, but I don't know if it will work, because I have 3 babies in my house:)))

Sergey will be home at 4:30 pm, and we should be able to go to post office and get copies and notarize our passport copies.

And if everything is good, we will be able to do apostle them, and send it to Ukraine on Monday.

Pray for us, so we get all our documents to Ukraine on time.
Thank you for all you prayers!!!

Less than two weeks until our submission date!

We have less than two weeks until our submission date. We are so excited! Also we been thinking a lot about that date, and praying to our God so he will be with us on that date.
It's scary to go through all adoption process with out our God, and I would be never do it with out my husband either.

All our document were at PARIS FR, today. Hopefully they will be in Kiev by this weekend, so we can talk to our facilitator, and see if everything ok with our documents.

Thank you foe keeping us in your prayers!

Today, Sergey took all the documents for apostle, and also on his way home, he send everything to Ukraine!!! Now we just have to wait and see, hopefully all documents are correct, and we don't have to redo anything.

Please keep us in your prayers, and also pray for October 13, our submission date! We know that God is with us, and we trust Him.

Thank you everyone for your support, and prayers!!! God Bless you!!!

Plans for this week.

I will start from last weekend. Saturday was really busy for us, especially for Sergey. But Sunday we decided to go to San Francisco, it's one hour and 30 minutes drive. It was nice there. we had a really nice, and relaxed day. we walked a lot, we spend some time by the ocean, on the little blanket. Daniel did want to walk on the sand with out his shoes. First when he saw sand on his feet, he didn't want to walk at all, but later by playing we was showing him that it's ok, to be dirty. He is funny, even home he likes his hands to be clean, and his face, and especially his feet.

Today we will finish notarizing our last few documents, and tomorrow Sergey will take it to apostle and then send it to Ukraine. Hopefully everything will work out great.

And rest of the week Sergey will be working on the new room, and I will just see how can I help.

I worry a lot about everything, every little thing. I am trying to control it, but it's hard:)))
I have dreams about our appointment in Ukraine, and our kids already:)))

Document still here.

Today was a busy day, I was not supposed to work, but I did, because family that I work for is moving to a different apartment, and they asked me if I can watch their 4 year old. I love to watch this little girl, she is so sweet. Her parents did go through all the stuff/toys that they had, and they gave a lot of toys for Daniel! So Christmas for Daniel came early this year!!!

Now about paperwork!
I did went to the Secretary of State to get apostle on all our documents, but I couldn't do all of them. Because our copies of passport, copy of I171H, and copy of our tax return was not notarized. And notary at their office was not available. If I only knew, I would do it somewhere else before coming to their office. Next time we will be smarter. So now, I have to find a notary, and notarize our copies, and then go on Monday to get apostle, and mail everything to Ukraine. We so happy, and nervous, and also really want this to be done as soon as possible.
I want my child/ren be home with us!

Thank you guys for all your comments, and support, and all of your prayers! We feel them! We see Gods hand in our life, and we know that God is with us, and He will not let us down!

God Bless You and your families!!!

I171H in our hands!!!

I was really surprised when I opened our mail box and there was our I171H! It was fast! Tomorrow all documents will get notarize and Friday I am not working and hopefully will go to get all of them apostle! It would be so nice if we can mail everything to Ukraine this week, so we have some extra time, in case there is any mistakes!

Waiting for I171H

Yesterday, I e-mailed USCIS adoption department, and they told me that they are really sorry for delay of our I171H approval, and they said it will be in the mail today! Hopefully we will receive it this week and will be ready to mail all documents on Monday!

We still have make copy of our tax return for 2008, and typed on the bottom"true and ......copy" and notarize, and we will be done!!!

I been working all week, so I wasn't able to go and apostle all our documents. But before I do that I really want to see I171H in the mail, so we can do everything at the same time.

Amost done with all the paperwork!

We have all the paperwork, except I171, which I am really hope will come this week.
Few days ago Sergey scanned all document, and e-mailed to Our facilitator, and he said everything looks good. So now, we have only 4 more pages to notarize, and if I am not working tomorrow I will take it to get apostle, and will send everything to Ukraine tomorrow.
We are so happy because now we see the end!

House updates:

Sergey working really hard to finish our new room in garage, he worried so much to get it done on time, we really want our kids to have their own rooms. Yesterday Sergey was so happy, and I was really proud of him, on his own, with our any help he did a light switch, and light now working in our new room!!! Very good, hard working husband I have!

I am not a big help now, :))) most of the time I am not feeling good, I think now it's a little better, but still no energy. So, I am trying to do as much as I can to collect all the paperwork.:))

I am already praying for our submission date, I am so nervous, I guess it's also my hormones:)))

I will try to keep you updated, lately I have no time, but I will try!
Thank you for being with us , during this journey!

Last paperwork

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my doctor and our mobile notary to meet and sigh and notarize my medical form. Hopefully this time it's a correct code, and we don't have to go back to our doctor.

Also my husband having our notary to meet him and a lady who is sighing, my husband's employment letter, and it should be done tomorrow as well.

This is last two pieces of documents that we need.
I am not talking about our I171, we are hoping that it will come in the mail early next week, so actually this is our last paper, but there is not much we can do to get it done faster. I did e-mail that department, but still no news.
So we will see.

My medical Form!

I e-mail my doctor today, like 5 times, and we finally found a correct code. Now I have to ask our facilitator if doctor can just put his initials and put a correct code next to it, or we have to redo all form all over again.
I think we will have to redo all over again, but I still e-mail our facilitator to make sure.
Did any of you guys had to change something little in your documents, and all you did it just white out, or cross it of and write next to it, with initials??? Just a question.........

News!!!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry for not blogging for so long, very busy, and not feeling really good.

Updates:
Saturday we had our fingerprints appointment, everything went good, hopefully soon we will see our I171 in the mail.

We have our submission date on October 13!!! We are so happy! No we just have to get all our paperwork in order, and send it to our facilitator.

We scanned and e-mail all our paperwork to our facilitator, before we do apostle and mail it to him, almost everything looks good, except I have to change my medical letter, the code for my general health is not going to work, doctor has to put different code in.

And now I want to share with all of you our one more news. I was planning to tell you guys for long time, but I didn't because I was waiting for my appointment, to know exact due date! :)))
We are pregnant and we are expecting our little blessing to be here 4-15-2010!
We are so thankful to our God! We been praying a lot about our adoption and our children, and we let everything in God hands and He is with us!
Please pray for us, because we really want to bring home our children from Ukraine as soon as possible, because later it will be harder! We know , God is with us!

Fingerprints Appointment!

Yesterday we got an invitation to come and do our fingerprints! Wow, it was fast, I was expecting this notice to come at least in two weeks, but we have it already and next Saturday we have to go to get our fingerprints taken. It's kind of last peace in collecting all documents for dossier. After fingerprints appointment we just have to wait for our I171 to come in the mail. So excited!!!

Also my husband took a request to get his employment letter . Hopefully we will have it soon.

We haven't heard nothing from our facilitator, hopefully he is back in Kiev, and will be able to take our documents to SDA in order to get our submission date.

My husband working hard to finish one more bedroom and a little office, so we have it ready by the time our kids will come home. Please pray for him!

Thank you for all your prayers!!!

My Clearance !

Yesterday, I got my clearance letter in the mail. I was so excited.
Now we need to get 3 more papers: employment letter for Sergey, house description letter, and our I171. And after that hopefully we are all done, and ready to go.
We are so thankful to our God, that we have this opportunity to go through this journey. All the feelings we have for our child, and all the feeling we go through with every step of this journey it's amazing experience! I am ready to see what God has for us in Ukraine, and I am ready to take it!
Did I tell you guys, that I can't wait for the moment to bring our child/ren home?!?! :))))
I think I did:)))

How good is our GOD!!!

Let me tell you how good is our GOD!!!!
Ok, are you ready!!??? Our home study and Power of Attorney are already on their way to Ukraine!!!
Let start in the beginning. Like I said, Yesterday we got our final draft of our Home Study in the e-mail, and also we send one e-mail with our Home study attached to our facilitator in Ukraine. He is on vacation this week, and I wasn't sure if he is checking his e-mail. So this morning I was surprised to see his e-mail, with all the corrections already made to our Home Study draft.
I e-mail our home study agency, and asked them when our home study will be ready since our facilitator already read and made all the corrections, and they said it should be ready today, and they will FedEx overnight so we would get it tomorrow. Wow! Now they are really working :)))
Also I decided to ask them if it's ok for us to come and pick it up so we would have our home study today. My husband drove all the way to Walnut Creek (1hour and 30 minute drive), to pick it up. My husband's supervisor is so nice and understanding, God bless her, she let him go earlier. He was in our home study agency around 2:00pm, it was ready.
We decided, that on his way back he will stop by Secretary of State office to get apostle for our Home Study, and I drove from home to bring Power of Attorney, so we can get apostle the same time and have it ready to send it to Ukraine. We left the office around 4:30pm, and one of the locations, where they do FedEx, is open till 5:00 pm. I decided to give a try, and tried to make it to the post office. I did make it , it was 4:55pm when I open their door.
We are so happy and we are ready for next step!!! Praise the Lord!
I was thinking we should have it done by next Wednesday. And now it should be in Ukraine in 1-4 days!

Thank you for all your prayers!!! God is a good God!!!

Great News!!!

Today we got an e-mail from our home study agency.......and guess what?! Yes, they finally did get a result of my Child Abuse Index clearance! We are so happy!

So now, we have to wait for our facilitator to make all the correction on the final copy of our home study. It's probably fine, but we just want to be sure that it's perfect, so we don't have to make all the corrections after it's already finalized, and notarized. So if everything is perfect, and our facilitator will be able to make all the corrections today (I don't think so, as far as we know he is on vacation this week), but by Monday we hope to have everything done, and have our home study in our hands by next Wednesday.
After we have it, we will take it to apostle and the same day send it to Ukraine.............wow.... I can't believe that this day is getting closer and closer!!!!!!

Thank you so much for everyone prayers!!! God Bless you All, and all your families!!!!

Same........no new!

I was not blogging for few days. Nothing new. We been calling to our home study agency and they still have no clearance on me. The lady, that my husband talked to , said, that she been calling and e-mailing them requests and they are no result yet. We are still praying and waiting and we know that God's time is perfect.

This weekend was busy, Saturday my husband was trying to do all the electrical wires for the new bedroom in house. Sunday we went for a 1 hour and a half drive to San Fransisco. 3 of us wend there just to took some pictures, and walked on the beach. It was nice time for 3 of us. I was trying to imaging how different would be and how much more fun we would have if we have our Ukrainian child/ren with us. I am always thinking about our child/ren, I really want them to be home and us start to live as one family.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers! God Bless you

Medical in our hands!

Yesterday got our medical forms from our doctor. So happy! Our doctor is so nice. He is understanding and so helpful.

My husband still has problems to get his employment verification. Hopefully it will be done soon. He probably will wait until we have a submission date, to go and get most current letter, and when Sergey will go, he will try to talk to a supervisor.

Thursday my husband got his police clearance letter, and his was a correct one. I called Bureau of Criminal identification and information, yesterday, and they said they will send my letter the same day. Also, while I was on the phone with them I notice it that my last name was misspelled, good I notice it .

Letter for our house, is done, should be in our hands in the beginning of next week.

HOME STUDY...............still nothing. I really hope that we will get our home study soon. They said that they can't do nothing, because they still didn't get my clearance. I want to believe them, and be understanding, but its' hard. We started this process with their agency in February, and they still don't have child abuse clearance on me????

Please pray for this part of our journey. ... maybe God is testing us, or our child/ren are not ready for us yet........I don't know.....but it's so hard to wait.....please pray!!!

No news!

Nothing on Home Study yet. My husband will call them today again.
I will go to a doctor's office tomorrow to get our forms. Hopefully doctor can make it, I made an appointment with our notary and she will be there at 12:00pm.
My police clearance letter came yesterday, but I think this is not what we need.
I thought it going to be in a letter format, and this one that we got just a little record, or maybe this is how it should look?! Will scan today and send it to our facilitator in Ukraine, hope this is exactly what we need.

Please keep us in your prayers!

Sergey talked to HS agency again!

Sergey, called Home Study agency again today. He was really serious, and was trying to really figure our what's going on. The lady on the phone(the BIG manager), did apologized a lot and she tried to explain, and was saying that they will finalized when they get my child abuse Clearance, they are still waiting on it.
Sergey tried to get the phone number to the place where my child abuse clearance should come from, and she said that she can't not give it to him, because they are not aloud to share any information.

I really hope that this will get done soon, and we will have our home study in our hands. I still, really want to go and bring our kids home by Christmas. I miss them so much!!!!
Please pray so our clearance will come this week and we have our home study soon!
Thank you so much for reading and following our journey with us! God Bless you!!!

Home Study is not in the mail yet...........

Sergey called our agency, and they told him that home study is ready but still there.........
Why did they tell us that did mail it to us already. I don't understand.
So today, Sergey, did talk to service manager, and he did ask her, "Why it's taking so long?" and she told him, that they didn't receive my "child abuse clearance"! I don't even know what to think. To be honest I don't even believe it. They aproved already, we did get our Home Study draft two weeks ago, and they told us that we should have it in our hands in 2-3 days. Then week later they are telling us that it's already in the mail, and now that it's done , but they dont' have a clearance on me so it makes it not to be ready. I don't understand....probably God knows why..........and He has His perfect timing.

Did any of you guys had something like that happend to you? Is it possible. It's just hard to believe that they are know what they are talking about. I will be calling them again tomorrow, or maybe my husband will call them. Please pray for us!

No news yet!

No home study yet. I am starting to think that when our social worker told us that they had mail our home study to us, they never did. We are still waiting, and my husband will call them today to find out what's going on.

I am thinking a lot about this delay, and I know that Gods time is perfect. My sister is getting married this year and she will have an engagement party September 19, I really want to be there for her. And engagement party will be in our house, it will be hard to prepare for party and for our travel, because Ukraine is getting submission days really quickly now. If someone has a submission date this week, they will probably travel in middle of September and for us it's too early. I think the perfect time for us to travel would be October, but again God has a perfect time for us!

Please keep us in your prayers!

Updates!

Here we are!
Home Study it's in the mail!!!!! Yes it's in the mail, so we should get in any day now! I really hoping that we will get it tomorrow. Than Monday, we will go to get apostle for Home Study and Power of Attorney, and send it to our facilitator the same day.
Medical forms are done, and they are ready to pick up. So now I just have to take our mobile notary and show up at doctor's office any day around 12:00 pm, and doctor will sign, and notary will put her stamp on it, and our form will be in my hands, ready for apostle!!!
Employment letter -my husband will get it Monday or Tuesday
Rental letter-is in the process, hope will be done next week
Clearance letters-I talk to them today, and they said that it will take them 2 days to process it and we should get it in a week or so! Hopefully we will get it by the end of next week!

Yesterday we did notarized our three form: Power of Attorney, Letter of Obligation and Petition to Adopt. So those forms are done, and ready for Apostle.

I am hoping that everything will go smooth, and we will travel soon to bring our child/ren home!

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Nothing much!

Didn't do much today. Just few e-mails with questions about adoption, and few phone calls.
Tomorrow Sergey will have to go to get his TB check, and after that we will wait for our doctor, and when he will be ready we will go to meet our doctor, at the same time we have to bring our notary with us, to get all the forms notarize.

Also I found a local notary, and he can do a notary for $5 per page, I think it's really cheap. Because notary usually charge $10.

Still no Home Study. I been checking my e-mail and my mail(poor mail box), and still nothing. I don't even know why it's taking so long. God has a perfect timing for everything, and he knows when our child will be ready for us ,and when we will be ready for our child. We just have to trust God!

Lately I was even thinking , maybe one of the reason why we don't have our home study yet, it's because we don't have enough money to bring home our child/ren?!!!

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Sergey made it to his TB test! Now we have to wait for our doctor, and he will let us know what he wants us to do.

Medical almost done!

Yesterday, we went to do our medical tests. I needed to do lab work , and chest X-ray, and for Sergey lab work, and TB test. We was able to do almost everything. I did everything what I was suppose to do, but for Sergey's TB test, they were doing TB only until 4:00 pm. Sergey is working until 3:30 pm, and to get to the hospital it took him about 40-50 minutes, so he was late to do his TB. But he will go back today if he can get out from his work 30 minutes earlier.
To the hospital, I drove from my work with Daniel, so by the time Sergey came we did my lab test, it was fun holding Daniel, and trying not to move because lady was taking my blood, and huge needle was in my body, but we survived that. After that we went to X-ray section, and I had to wait for Sergey to come, because they did let Daniel to go with me, I understand that. So when Sergey came, I went to do myX-ray , and my little man with his daddy went to do Sergey's lab work. By 5:00 pm we were done with everything.

still nothing on our home study:(((((

Monday, August 10, 2009

Medical!

Today, me and Sergey, will have to go to get our medical done again. It had been almost 6 month after our last check up, and now we need new blood test and physicals done again.
Hopefully we can get done with everything today, because we will go there after work and they are open only until 5:00pm.

And I am checking my e-mail and my mail 100 times a day :))) for our home study! I am slowly going crazy:)))) I wish it would be here by Wednesday, so we can send it to Valentin, our facilitator this week.
For now, we have to send him only Home Study and Power of Attorney, so he can translate, and get a submission date for us. And by our submission day, we will have to have the rest of paperwork done, and send it to Ukraine. Power of Attorney we have it already and the last thing is our HOME STUDY!!!! We are praying for our home study!

Sunday, August 9, 2009

Please pray!!!

We went to church today and service was awesome. We feel much better now, even we still don't have our home study, and still have to get a lot of paperwork together, but I feel so calm, and peaceful , I know God know the perfect time for everything! We are praying a lot about all the paperwork, and I know that God is here, and HE is with us on this not easy journey!
Please keep us in your prayers!

Now I am thinking more and more, about bonding time with our child/ren. I worry so much about that. I want to be a perfect mother for them, and teach them everything that I know, and even more so they can be more successful in their life. We have no experience dealing with 7-10 year old (except cousins, or relatives...etc) but this is going to be different, this is going to be our own kids, and we will have to raise them. Please pray for our bonding, and growing together as a family!

Also, as your know to do adoption is not free. It is actually will cost us around $25,000.00, only paperwork, airfare, facilitator, travel expenses. It's a lot of money especially for us with one income. We talked with our facilitator in Ukraine, and he said that we probably will travel in the next 3 month! We are so excited, but at the same time it's so scary, because we still don't even have the half of amount we need it. I am not talking and counting money that we need for child/ren bedrooms, beds, cloth and also now we are adding one more bedroom to our house, for remodeling. Our child/ren will come with out anything, and they will need a lot of stuff to start their new life. Please pray for our finances! We are doing a lot to make more money, saving as much as we can. Please pray so God will open up people hearts to help orphans, maybe they can help us financially. Please pray for us! We want to bring our child/ren home!

Thursday, August 6, 2009

Much better now...:)

We were very disappointed today, I didn't even want to write anything in my blog. But now I feel much better. Spending time with my family, playing with my baby son, and see my husband smile, and get few hugs from helped me a lot. Also talking to my friend Carol, made me smile a lot! Thank you Carol for being with us, talking to me, and thank you again for all your help with our paperwork. I don't know what would I do with out you...........seriously! Big THANK YOU! God Bless you and your family!

Now little bit about our day.............

We had a very interesting day. Our doctor appointment.........didn't happen. My doctor e-mailed me today in the morning and he told me that we don't need an appointment we can just come to his office when he is ready. So I had to cancel our appointment with notary lady, and I had to tell her that we will make another appointment with her.

So, doctor is still want to take a look at our forms first and then he will let us know when and how he will fill them out and a notary can come to do her part! Wish to get this done tomorrow.

Home study not here yet. I been talking to our social worker, and director of the whole company, and they are promising to get it done in a couple of days. Hopefully it will not take too long...

Also there was other little things, now there is no point to talk about them........

We are happy, that God is with us, and HE know the perfet timing for everything!!!

Again medical forms!

We didn't know that our doctor's signature has to be notarised at the time he signs it. So now we have to re-do it our medical forms. Also our facilitator send us a different/updated form for our medical. I am so happy, I was able to find a mobile notary service, and they can come to our doctor's office!

Tomorrow we have our appointment for our medical to be done(hopefully, the last and correct way)

We have almost all paperwork done, or at least they are in the process. I will probably relax, when we send them to Ukraine and will have a travel date...or maybe I will even more nervous.....life is interesting. We are always about something, and we are done with one thing, and there is nothing to worry about anymore, we find something else to worry about.

Please keep us in your prayers, about all paperwork process and also financial part of this journey! So God will opens heart of a person who will register our dossier, and hearts of some people to help us financially. We know and believe that God will provide, he will find a way.
Monday, 8-03-2009 we went to local police office and did our card fingerprints. The next day it already was in the mail to FBI department. Hope that they will process it fast and we will get our police clearance letter soon.
It's so hard to wait with out doing anything. Now we are waiting for our home study to be finalized, notarize and send back to us. Hopefully it will not take a long time. Praying.
We know that Gods time is perfect, and the is reason for everything!

Petition for adoption, power of attorney, and letter of obligation, are done. Ready to be notarize and apostle.

Our facilitator said that we can send him only home study and Power of Attorney, and he can start the process and register, to get a submission day, with only those 2 document, and by our submission day he will have to get the rest of the paperwork. Did anyone went with this process? How did it go?

HS Draft!!!

We are so excited! We are almost done with our home study. It was very long process for us. I think I haven't share yet. Ok.... We were ready to do our home study, but at the same time we were thinking to do loan modification on our house. So we started our adoption process, and on our first visit we told our social worker that we are thinking to do loan modification. And after that our home study agency put a stop our home study process, until we are finalized with all home related paperwork. So, to do loan modification for our house was a long process, almost 6 month...........wow it is really long. We could do nothing with our paperwork, so basically only one month ago our process started to getting some speed.

First we were very disappointed, because we really wanted to bring our child/children home as soon as possible, and we wanted for them to be home by New Year. But I guess God had a different plan for us, now we see why it's better.

After loan modification, our house payment is almost half what we had to pay before
So it looks much better on financial statement. We already were not making enough money, and our home study agency wasn't sure if we can handle this adoption financially, and after loan mod, it took care of this problem.

We had this 6 month, we got some money for traveling. It's still not enough, but at least we can take care of some thing not going deep in dept.

I think it's enough for today, time to go to sleep.....

It's really long post, when I nervous I talk, and now I know that I write a lot also( I got nervous after I saw our Home study draft in my e-mail).

I think this moment to see my own kids are getting closer and closer.......

Medical Forms!

Today I went to drop of medical forms for Ukrainian dossier at our doctors office. Hopefully we will be able to get them back, and doctor will not require us to come for an appointment. But I have a little , little hope that this is what going to happen. I think doctor will tell us to come for an appointment, and do blood test again(we did one in march for our home study).

Also I was making some phone call to our local police offices. We need to get our live scan done, and get certified clearance letter. But they open only till 3:30 pm, and we can't do it this week. Probably we will go next week.

Please keep us in your prayer! Thank you so much

Still no Home Study!

Finally we decided with facilitator. Thank you everyone, who was trying to help, and gave us all the information about facilitators they had work with.

We still have no news on our home study. They gave us 2 weeks but it been already almost 4 weeks, and still no news. I e-mailed our social worker today and we will see what she will say. Hopefully it will be done soon, so we can move on, and get our fingerprints, and I-171. Can't wait for that form to come in the mail.

Please keep us in your prayers, especially now, we are getting closer and closer!
God Bless you

It's weird, but I am so nervous, and cant even sleep. I catch my self that I am always thinking about our new child, about how our life will change! I start having dreams about our family.
I really want our child to be home with us! To be in the waiting position, with out knowing when and what going to happen ,I think it's the worst time. It's so hard!

WAITING AND LOOKING!

We are still looking for facilitator. Hopefully we will get one soon.
Our home study is in process,we are waiting for draft of our home study to be send to us.
We mailed our I-600A form and it was filed at USCIS on 7/13/2009, we still have to send them evidence of financial status and evidence of medical insurance coverage for an adopted child and of course home study.
Hopefully Sergey will get those two forms this week and home study I hope we will get in next week or so.
Also USCIS send us a letter and it said that
"Note: Due to a recent policy change, you will receive your appointment for fingerprint after receipt of the home study."

I use to think that we can get fingerprinted with out our home study. I guess that they changed that.

It's so hard to wait, I want to see my child now, and I want my child to be home with us as soon as possible! I know, I know that there is time for everything and GOD is never late!
Please keep praying for us and our family! For paperwork to go smooth and for financial part of this journey.
God Bless you

Second Home Study Visit is done!!!

July 1, Wednesday we had our second home study visit. It went really good, we are really happy with our case worker, she is really sweet and nice lady. If everything good we should have it done in next 2 weeks. Wow, we are getting closer!!! So happy and excited!!
So, now we are trying to find a facilitator, good and not too expensive.
If any of you know any good facilitators, or had to deal with some and you didn't or did like their service please let us know. We really don't want to make bad decision.

HOME STUDY VISIT CANCELED!!!

Unfortunately we had to tell our agency that our loan modification process is still not finished. And now we have to wait another month or two. They can't do our home study visit, and complete our home study if we are not sure what going to happen to our house. We understand, but on another hand we want to go to Ukraine today :) not going to happen. So no we are just waiting for good news from our modification company.
Maybe this way we can make more money and be dept free after bringing our child home.

Please pray for us!

SECOND HOME STUDY VISIT!!!

We are very happy and thankful to God. Yesterday I talked to our case worker(second one, they gave us different lady to finish our home study), and she told us that we can continue with adoption. We schedule second home study visit on May 2, 2009, by that time we have to get all the paperwork together. We are almost ready we have to get our reference letters back, and we should receive our passports soon, so we have to make copies of those. Also I found out that we have to make passport for our baby son if we want to take him with us when we go to get his brothers or sisters.

I can't wait for the time when we will go to get our kid(s). Lately I get so emotional when I read something about kids from orphanage, or just stories about adoption. I want to go and get our baby as soon as possible.

SAD!

We had our first home study visit 2-20-09, it went good. But we had to tell our case worker that we might move in 1 month or 2 , and she told us that it's better to wait with adoption until we move, so they put our adoption on hold. First we were very sad, but maybe it's for better. We have this time to collect all the paperwork that we need for home study and find more finances and be completely ready for second visit from adoption agency. Thank you for all your prayers! We need you prayers!

APPLICATION SEND TO HOME STUDY AGENCY!!!

We are so happy!!! Finally we came up with enough money for home study. On 1-28-09 we send our application/request and money orders for $2,700 hundred to home study agency.
We are happy and scared at the same time. We are happy that finally we are in the process of bring our child home, and scared because we have no money for rest of the adoption process(even for small stuff like fingerprints). We are trying to save as much as we can, but it's seem not enough. We were saving for 3 month just for home study to be done, so sad :(((((. Please pray for us, for financial side and paperwork part of our adoption process, so it goes smooth and by Christmas we have our child home with us!!!

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG!!!

Just want to say welcome! And start our blog!
In October 2008, we decided to adopt. It's a long story, but we believe that GOD has plan for us.
Sense I was a little girl I had a dream to help an orphan, I never thought that I would be able to adopt, but with my husband and his good heart my dream will come true! Of course with Gods help we will be one more time parents. Don't get us wrong, we still want to have biological kids, but a child from our heart is there, and we have to do everything we can to go and bring our child home. Now it's in my heart, and my life will never be complete with out a child from a GOD, and being "paperwork pregnant". We know it's not an easy journey, but with Gods help and your guys prayers we will be able to do it.

We don't even have enough money for home study. I did some research and the cheapest I found is $2700. Hopefully we will have this money soon.

This blog is for sharing our steps and our process, also we want to ask you to pray for us and our family! Maybe some day when our child will be home with us, somebody else will use our advices, and by our mistakes will learn and will not make same mistakes.
Please feel free to leave a comment, and ask questions, and help us to bring our child home.
